1. Introduction
This privacy policy explains how the DocLensr app, developed by ISTACK DEVELOPMENT, handles information when you use it on your iPhone.
We built DocLensr to keep your documents private. If you have questions, contact us at madalin@istack.ro.
2. What stays on your device
DocLensr has no user accounts and no servers of its own. All of the following is created and stored locally, inside the app's storage on your iPhone, and is never sent to us:
- The photos you capture with the camera and the pages you edit (crops, rotations, filters, redactions)
- Your saved documents, their titles, tags and generated PDF files
- Unfinished scans kept as a draft
Image processing — edge detection, cropping, filters and redaction — runs entirely on your device using Apple frameworks.
3. Camera access
DocLensr asks for permission to use the camera so you can scan documents. The camera feed is processed on the device to detect page edges and capture photos. Images are not transmitted anywhere. You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings → DocLensr.
4. Purchases and third parties
DocLensr Pro is offered through In-App Purchase. The following third parties are involved:
- Apple — processes all payments. We never see your card or billing details. See Apple's privacy policy.
- RevenueCat — a subscription management service that receives an anonymous app user identifier and your purchase and subscription status, so we can unlock Pro features and let you restore purchases. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
No document, image, title or tag is ever shared with these services.
5. What we do not do
- We do not collect your name, email address or other identifying information
- We do not upload, view, analyze or store your scans
- We do not use advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs
- We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not sell or share data for advertising
6. Backups
If iCloud Backup or a computer backup is enabled for your iPhone, iOS may include DocLensr's data (your saved documents) in that backup. Backups are controlled by you and Apple, not by us.
7. Security and retention
Your documents are protected by the iOS security model (app sandbox and device encryption when your iPhone is locked with a passcode). Because we do not hold your data, deleting a document in the app, or deleting the app itself, permanently removes it from your device.
8. Children
DocLensr is a general-purpose utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
9. Your rights
Since your documents never leave your device, you are in control of them at all times: you can view, export, rename or delete them in the app. For data held by RevenueCat or Apple, please contact them using the links above.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date on this page.
