Why one file matters
Most offices, banks and landlords want a single PDF, in the right order. Five loose photos are easy to lose, easy to mix up and hard to file. Scanning all pages into one document solves that from the start.
Scan all pages in one session
- Tap the camera icon.
- Shoot the first page, adjust the crop and tap Use Photo. A thumbnail appears at the bottom of the screen.
- Repeat for each page, in order. The counter shows how many pages you have.
- Tap Done when you're finished.
Fix the order and add forgotten pages
The editor shows every page as a numbered thumbnail. From there you can:
- Tap the list icon to drag pages into a new order.
- Tap the camera icon to add pages you forgot to scan.
- Tap the red ✕ on a page to delete it — handy for a blurry shot.
- Tap any page to rotate it or change its filter.
Give it a name you can search for
Before saving, type a title such as “Lease agreement” and add a few tags like “home, contract”. Later you can find the document by searching your library for either one.
If you get interrupted
Unfinished scans are kept as a draft. Next time you open DocLensr, an Unfinished scan banner offers to resume right where you left off.
Before you save
- Every page is readable when zoomed in
- The pages are in the right order
- Anything sensitive is covered (see how to black out sensitive information)
- The document has a clear title
